Window tint FAQs

What is the legal window tint percentage in Idaho?
Under Idaho Code §49-944, the front side windows and the rear window must let in at least 35% of visible light, and the rear side windows (behind the driver) at least 20% — each with a 3% tolerance. Film can't be more than 35% reflective, and no film is allowed on the windshield below the AS-1 line (or more than 6 inches down if there's no AS-1 line). Medical exemptions are available — ask us.
Do you offer mobile window tinting?
Yes. We install window tint at your home or workplace in Boise, Meridian, Kuna, Nampa, Star, Eagle, Caldwell, Middleton and surrounding Treasure Valley communities.
What's the difference between carbon and ceramic tint?
Carbon tint gives a sleek appearance, privacy and moderate heat reduction. Our ceramic tint, HITEK Ceramic IR, adds stronger infrared heat rejection while keeping visibility clear. Both block UV and both are covered by our lifetime warranty.
How much does window tinting cost?
It depends on vehicle size, window coverage and film. Our most popular package — front two windows plus a windshield sun strip — starts at $219 with carbon film or $289 with ceramic. Full sedans and trucks start at $499 carbon / $599 ceramic.
Is ceramic window tint worth it in Idaho?
For Treasure Valley drivers who want more heat rejection during hot summer months, ceramic is a worthwhile upgrade — it reduces solar heat without needing a darker shade.
Do you remove old tint?
Yes. Removal of existing tint isn't included in our package prices and is quoted separately.
